New Horizons is the third cd released by 3LM. This cd leans slightly more towards instrumental rock than the previous two cds, which are often described as New Age acoustic rock. This cd also features more guitar work by Dave and less keyboard work overall. With the departure of keyboardist Mark Dorman, Dave was prompted to write tracks based more around guitar and percussion, frequently layering multiple guitar parts. Chris played more traditional percussion parts on this cd - and less samples from his kit, though there are still plenty! As usual, the boys call on some guest artists on a couple of tracks with excellent results. The production is top-notch on this cd - a noticeable improvement from the previous two cds.
