Meet 46bliss, pioneers of NYC's Ambi-Pop movement whose unique sonic architecture elegantly rises above the East Village din, transcending standard pop expectations.
Pistachio Home, their debut CD on Regular Records, takes you through a world of songs, populated with far-eastern dreams, psychedelic textures, heavenly vocal layers and ambient danceable atmospheres.
David Cooper (singer/synthesist), was inspired by Clare Veniot's haunting Celtic-influenced vocals. Together with Jack Freudenheim, drummer and creator of Sounder, ambient-music generating software, they formed 46bliss after an epiphany at an Indian restaurant.
Pistachio Home features 13 original tracks, plus interpretations of Melanie's Lay Down and The Beatles' Across The Universe.
Their song Anything was recently selected by billboardtalentnet.com from hundreds of bands to be included on the CD compilation "New Talent Spotlight, volume 1."
46bliss are Clare Veniot (vocals), David Cooper (vocals /programming), and Jack Freudenheim (electronic drums/programming).

46bliss and their euphonic melody of sounds woos the listener and lulls the mind
author: Heather
This CD ranges from the obsecure to the more diffinitive sounds, the listener will be thrilled when he/she puts this CD into their player or their MP3 player. Clare, David and Jack make each and every song different, just by using their collective ear to make euphonic and lulling sounds that make the listener believe they were really their while the recording was going on.
This band and this CD are the epitome of real music, they will always be my favorite and this CD will always be Number One on my list.

80s/modern hybrid to shake your thang to

Imagine if back in the glorious days of the early to mid 1980s a bunch of euro-pop/synth-pop type musicians discovered a time machine and flew forward to the scary reality of today. Whilst there they managed to get a good deal of exposure to modern dance/trance/ambient style club music before they buggered off back to their own time line with a couple of modern mixing boards, drum sequencers, keyboards and the like. After they had been back long enough for the whole cynical modern vibe to wear off, so they could slip back into the naïve beauty that was the mid eighties, they put the equipment to good use and knocked out a perfect hybrid album...

Deep and haunting
author: Gajoob
Synth pop made in the 90's with all the attitude and groove of the stuff that made us shake our booties back in the 80's. The New York 3 piece mix a pretty balanced blend of electronica, techno and good ole D-Mode style synth mood pop. I'm a pretty big fan of the female voice and Clare Veniot doesn't let me down on this record with deep and haunting vocals with melodies ranging from pop to chantlike. The overall sound of the record is fairly tame and while they include a pretty wide variety of influences, there is a very consistent pop mood that runs throughout...it's pretty much one of those records that if you like one track, you'll like 'em all.
