46°halo is an indie / rock / electro / shoegaze band from Japan. The band's first CD album, "rebirth," was released from its own label, echoroom records, on February 26, 2008.
46°halo are:
Takahiro Ishizuka: vocals, guitar, synths and programming
Hiroki Ishizuka: guitar
Masato Hayashi: drums and drum pad
Takahito Kajimoto: bass
46°halo started out as Takahiro Ishizuka's solo project. Ishizuka was born and grew up in Hokkaido, and started a band called Gash in Sapporo. The band relocated to Tokyo and released a few albums, toured, and performed and the Rising Sun Rock Festival. In 2005, however, Gash split up.
After the split, Ishizuka established his own label, echoroom records, and as 46°halo, went back into the studio to record the demo "Clock" in April 2006. He went on to record several other demos.
After receiving overwhelming positive feedback on his demos on Myspace and his live shows, joined by Hiroki and Masato, he decided to go back to the studio to record a CD.
That CD, "rebirth," was released in February 2008.
Immediately after its release, bassist Kajimoto joined the group. 46°halo was then reborn as a full-fledged band.
