QUICK WAY IN:
Listen to "Godless Weather" first. Then try "Out Of Range." "Kira," "Here & Now," and "Static" all are good starting points, also.
LONG WAY IN:
"It's A What?" is my second disc of acoustic guitar, songs and singing
Usually I play the electric guitar with a bass player and a drummer and sometimes other things. I like to play electric music that is heavily improvised, usually with the free parts appearing in or as the context of rocknroll song structure. An understanding of the trance-inducing power of loud repetitive sounds is important. So is good songwriting.
Some of my friends asked me to record with just acoustic guitar and voice, so they could hear the songs more clearly. Lindsay Vari offered me the studio time to record this CD in the spring of 2005
All of these songs were channelled and transcribed by 5-Track
(some with lyrics from poet&publisher Christian Peet)
except:
"Static" is a song by Neon Brown (www.neonbrown.com). Aside from recording at least 3 great discs, Neon Brown has been presenting two sets of improvised music for your life every other Wednesday at Mr Spot's Chai House for, like, five or six years now... Worth your time.
My rocknroll band is called Glass Goblins. Glass Goblins performs electric versions of several of the tunes from "It's A What?" including 'Godless Weather' and 'Kira.' You can check us out at

This music is presented as an offering to the culture, in hope that it is not too late

Godless Weather is addictive. Everything about it is perfect. It should be playing on every radio in the USA.

Five's best to date!
author: J.P.
Five gets a 5 for this acoustic collection of mostly original material. My favorite is "Godless Weather," but they're all mind-bendingly brilliant. Five's gravelly voice and chiseled lyrics are uniquely his. Give this one a listen and you'll go back for more.

A voice to absolutely covet!
author: A. L.
The songs are well crafted and the guitar work is good old fashioned down home fun. The selling point though is that unique, craggy, squeaky, jiving, bluesy wail of a voice that carries these songs to the Acoustic Blues Promised Land. It's that good folks. Check 'em out.
