Album Notes

64K's debut album "Reverse Technology rams the industrial in like you want it — hard, rough, steady and selfish. But they can also shyly retreat and shower you with the most tender of caresses. The heavy, head-bobbing chorus-type riff of “Repression” will make you feel like an all-powerful deity; the soft, melodic outro of the same song will leave you trailing clouds of soft haze as you float peacefully down the river Styx. 64K’s fascination is their ability to embrace variety and diversity in pacing, approach and instrumentation, even within the boundaries of one composition, yet without damming the song’s overall flow and “feel.” “Waiting In Silence” happened to be No. 1 in the Industrial genre for over three weeks on the Aussie-based MP3 site mp3.com.au. The song begins with atmospheric chanting, a hushed, panning beat that sounds like someone snow-shoeing over a vast icy plain and brief synths that create an introspective mood. Next comes in a gruff synth riff that builds like a pyramid, then the song goes back to that original atmospheric swirl but with a faster beat, which finally morphs into the catchy middle section of the song. The beat for “Sacrifice” is also 100-percent killer.

this disc has some very nostalgic sounds for me; which is good: too many bands try so hard to be heavy, they forget to include melody in the music. altogether very well put together, the sound id heavy, melodic, noisy where it needs noise... the influences are very apparent, but this CD is a great listen and well deserving of any lofty comparisons it might receive. i also enjoyed the trek samples on "indestructable", they fit really well into the song and it was just well chosen and well placed.

If you lament the loss of the industrial and experimental industrial bands of the 90's, you are going to absolutely love this cd...definately worth the bux! Reminiscent of NoisEx and Velvet Acid Christ, but with a sound all thier own. You need to at least try it!
