ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From the multicultural melting pot that underlines the territory between two countries, two cultures, and two frames of mind, comes the backbone behind this musical breath of fresh air that is becoming 65REVOLUCIONES. Brothers Ricardo and Andres Valles, Tony Kosturakis and Manny Malanche encompass this band which sparing no time after its conception, immediately began collaborating into what would become their first release, named "Televisor". Released in 2002 regionally, the album fared well with critics and audiences alike, boosting the emergence of a new movement amongst the local music scene. Steady radio airplay and strong word-of-mouth was indeed enough as the band soon found themselves without anymore 'Televisor' copies to sell as all their manufacturing orders had been completely depleted. This same release and its acceptance by the public claimed the attention of independent music label "La Cueva Records". When representatives of La Cueva attended a show in Chihuahua Mexico, they knew they had something special in their hands and having absolute faith in the potential and capacity that this group could offer, they immediately signed 65REVOLUCIONES and began paving the way for what would be their second release but first at the national and international markets.
With a label backing the effort, 65REVOLUCIONES began recording "De Generacion a Degeneracion" at Sonic Ranch Studios in Tornillo TX in the summer of 2004. Soon after, 8 time gammy winning and world renowned music Producer Benny Faccone (Mana, Santana, Luis Miguel, Juan Gabriel) heard preview tracks from the new record and took an interest, wasting no time to offer to co-produce and mix the album. After hearing the first single to be released through Mr. Faccone, Brian 'Big Bass' Gardner (Michael Jackson, System of a Down, Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas) also became interested and agreed to master the album.
La Cueva Records decided to release "Mujer" as the first single of the new album "De Generacion a Degeneracion". The music video for the first single "Mujer" was directed by G. Bone Everett in Los Angeles California and can now be requested on MTVLA and Telehit (Mexico's most important music television channels). The single "Mujer" is fairing well and is currently enjoying a spot amongst the major popularity charts. It can be requested on national radio station chains such as Los40Principales and EXAfm, the latter of which invited 65REVOLUCIONES to be apart of its national EXAFest tour, which visits all major cites in Mexico and consists of Major artists such as Elefante, Natalia Lafourcade and Kabah.
Recently Rolling Stone Magazine Mexico honored the band by giving them 3 and a half stars on "De generacion a Degeneracion" calling it a "a band that will remind you of spanish rock legends Heroes del Silencio or La Cuca...a well executed roller coaster of emotional music" (November, 2005).
