Album Notes

This disc chronicles another 14 releases from the Detroit blues label No Cover Productions.
We start off with a major milestone for No Cover with the reissue of two CD's from Robert Noll.
This is followed by a local street musician whose blues are right from the dawn of blues time.
That would be Travelin' Steve and his group Travelin' Blues, which in addition to Steve, features Gutbucket Bass and Harmonica. Next are two CD's from the Kenny Miller band, one
live, and one studio. This is followed by a second Blues Challenge Sampler, again released in cooperation with the Detroit Blues Society, this time featuring the Challenge finals from 2005.
Then we released the first volume of Robert Noll's "Live Retrospect" Series and "Lonesome" Dave Paul follows with his second No Cover CD titled "Live At The Attic". Cooley Pope had a band called Idlewild Blue, which backs him on most of the tracks on his Cd "Detroit Attitude".
The next project is from R&B legend Charles "Buddy" Smith. It is titled "Resurrection". We hope that is exactly what it is for Buddy. Billy Davis has wanted to do a Christmas CD for as long as he can remember. Now he has one called "Merry Christmas To The World" and he couldn't be happier.
The Sax Maniacs have gone through some personnel changes through the years which have only made the band grow stronger. Their new CD "Will The Last One Out Of Detroit,
Please Turn Out The Lights" is a strong set of all-original songs.
Robbie Lee Noll is a great Acoustic Player, and his CD "Dear Friend" shows that rarely seen side, cut live at "Lenny's Coffee Gallery, with some studio cuts from Straight Ahead Studios, this one is a treat!
The final cut on this disc is from Billy Davis' 4th No Cover CD, not yet released at the time of this writing.

But of course the story is not finished yet.
