Why do that when you can say emotion is the name of this game. 77 El Deora music flows into your ears and soon a craving overtakes you. The more you listen the more you want. This is the kind of CD one needs to own. Listen carefully. Flippin' awesome

I really love this album. It's like a walk down Country Music Row, but not the Nashville kind. More like Bakersfield and honky tonks in Lodi and Yountville. Great fiddle on many of the songs. The CD takes you through many moods--foot-stomping, swinging, crying over a broken heart or an empty glass or a black eye. Maurice's song-writing knocks me out--who would think to rhyme "redacted" with "fact, dear"?! Jen Courtney's husky voice does it's magic, and the guest vocals by Catherine Foreman are a beautiful and wistful complement. Really, the album is a tour-de-force.
