ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The 7th Day Buskers have returned with their third full length CD release, "Fool's Grass."

12 new originals and 1 cover song in the same acoustic style of traditional and modern flavors that have defined the Busker's sound over the past four years. "Fool's Grass" was recorded mostly live in the studio and is an excellent display of their energy and sound on stage. "This album really shows how much this band has matured in the past several years," says Shawn P. Rohlf who is the producer and Busker's frontman. "The performances are tight; a result of how much we have played together."

This past year the Buskers took home "Best Americana" at the San Diego Music Awards, as well as adding two-time Weiser Fiddle Champion Melissa Harley to the band.

In 2003 they took a year off from recording to be featured in a musical production at the Lambs Players Theater in San Diego. In "Cotton Patch Gospel," the Buskers we're on stage playing the music of the Late Harry Chapin. The show ran seven times a week for three months and recieved rave reviews.

good Stuff!
They came through our area and were really impressive with thier modern bluegrass sound. This collection of tunes and the performance of these tunes in Fool's Grass reinforces their consistency as excellent performers. This is a great selection of tunes.

An amazing group of talented musicians!
I first heard the band playing live on the radio and had to get their CD right away. They were playing 'Sky Ain't Soft' and I saw that one listed on this CD and got it. Well, I wasn't disappointed at all. The entire CD was every bit as good as I was expecting. A very tight and professional sounding group of extremely talented musicians. I read a review somewhere that said a weak point in the group was the lead singer's vocals. I couldn't disagree more. The vocals were one of the things that attracted me to their sound the most.

They just keep getting better!
I've eagerly awaited the release of the new Buskers CD. I've been a fan since Long Live The Caboose and these folks just keep getting better and better. From the Fool's Grass opening song Sky Ain't Soft, they journey through No'Dak Special and end up in Oxlip and have a lot of fun along the way. Listen to this CD and you'll see why they deserve Best Americana at the San Diego Music Awards.
