Album Notes

86cheese is currently a four piece pop/rock band from Orlando Fl.

It all started at the University of Central Florida where Tavie Basarich and Ryan Dixon fatefully met in Appreciation of Music class. With Tavie singin' and guitarin' and Dixon drummin', late night jams lead to open mic nights which started a movement. Adam Dvorecky was recruited on Keys and 86cheese immediately started writing. After 2 years of alienating listeners by trying to make every song as epic as Queens "Bohemian Rhapsody", 86cheese tamed their ADD and "The Space" Sessions was born. The celebration was delayed when Adam quit 86cheese the day before "The Space" Sessions was released. Enter two new members: Leamon Stubbs aka "Gritz" on Keys and Mauricio Avesani on Bass.

Tavie's iconic image effortlessly slips into his soulful voice while his catchy guitar riffs perk your ears. On drum-set, Dixon weaves his rudimental training with his God given "white boy funk". Everything he plays makes you want to dance. Leamon's piano playing sounds like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles serenading each other. Mauricio glues it all together with his melodic and tasty basslines.

Describing these guys' music, like anything truly original, is difficult. Using words commits an inustice to experiencing them. Its like trying to talk about happiness to someone deaf, mute and blind when all you have to do is tickle them. This is the music of 86cheese, a truly original experience. It doesn't hurt, however, that Tavie is a gifted writer whose razor sharp wit seems to express the inexpressible in only a couple verses.

Bigger, Better and one-fourth blacker than ever, 86cheese is in the studio recording their second e.p. while playing locally and have plans to tour the southeast. They continue to win ears all over the world with album sales in America, Great Britain and Australia.
