Stimulus Package is 8-Foot’s newest studio album. Stimulus Package is set for release on September 26, 2009, and the record will be performed live by the band in its entirety for fans at The Twilight on SE Powell in Portland. 8-Foot has become one of those timeless bands that people either love to hate or love to love. 8-Foot Tender’s Stimulus Package is a new and improved way to get some free money without all the hassles of the IRS and the postal service. If your teen is a big fan of this post-punk rock band, check out some of their earlier work even if you're not a fan. Packed with disgust, laughs, and raw guitars, 8-Foot’s new album sounds like a rejection of everything capitalistic, and of the world itself. The music is only slightly less shocking than Odell’s lyrics about disgust, apathy, freedom, credit card abuse, and certain aspects of Marxist economic thought (Karl’s and Groucho’s). The songs by Fieldhouse lament catholic guilt, confession, and sleep disorders. The clever comrades whose appearances made this record even more stimulating are: Heidi Hellbender and Jeff Larson of the Oblivion Seekers, Brandi Starbird of Howie and The Hot Knives, Scott “Deluxe” Drake of The Humpers, Mark Death of The Moneychangers, and Ryan McMahon. This adds up to a really big bang for your buck, so put your money where your mouth is. Stimulus Package is a ration of rock ‘n roll economic recovery the Oregon way, and its echoes are everywhere.
