Album Notes

Self-proclaimed, "Pant Rockers", 8 Inch Betsy's sound has been compared to bands like, Team Dresch, Slint, Pat Benetar, The Pixies, Social D, Strung Out and Green Day.

Since July of 2004, 8 Inch Betsy, a Chicago-based, power trio has been slowly, establishing a following in the Midwest, including regional exposure by playing a variety of festivals spanning the country, from Washington to Georgia.

In 2005, 8 Inch Betsy's was invited by Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) to finish up the last leg of her Midwestern tour with her band, The Volunteers, taking them to coveted, rock venues such as The Grog Shop, The Blind Pig, Southgate House and Buskirk-Chumley Theatre, where many now-famous bands got their start.

In 2006, 8 Inch Betsy learned they'd been voted "Editor's Pick" by Curve magazine (see the issue featuring the L Word's, Alexandra Hedson). The band learned of the exciting news while in OLY, WA performing at the 2006 "Homo-A-Go-Go" Music and Arts Festival - alongside bands like Bitch and the Exciting Conclusion, Lezzies on X, The Gossip, Tender Forever and many others.

Since 2006, 8 Inch Betsy has opened for the Gossip twice - both times at the Abbey Pub, in Chicago.

Last year the band played Ladyfest South at The Earl, in Atalanta, GA.

They were recently signed to Queer Control Records in late 2007.

In January of 2008 the band self-released their long-awaited new, full-length CD, "This Time, Last Time, Every Time".
