Album Notes

9bobNOTE's second cd, RIDE, highlights the band's pop edges; an incredibly singable and danceable selection of tracks that exactly what you want to reach for after turning over your engine and preparing for a nice, long ride. The addition of violinist Donna Regester and veteran drummer Richard Levine help to make this cd a layered landscape of rhythm and melody.

The first track, "Alone in my way", is a radio hit with strong acoustic presence and well timed emotionality. Lead guitarist Paula Esworthy inserts her signature neo-60's sound into the quirky classic pop feel of "Acrobat" reminding us all that there's a reason the music of bands such as the Beatles is timeless. For those who enjoy a crunchier diet of rock stay tuned to the end for "Exit Song" complete with big drum fills and flange attack on guitar.

It seems that 9bobNOTE is redefining what we all love about music-songs that make us think about life hum as we go.
