Hey Mark, et al,

I (finally) got a copy of Abe's Lily and I wanted to tell ya I'm loving it. The mix of genres and instruments fits perfectly and overall the material has a very "warm and welcoming"  feel to it, and each piece is like an old photograph, with a particular mood, telling a story. 

The individual players are, of course, brilliant. The banjo on the opening track is especially nice and puts me in mind of a little track I heard years ago by a guy named Nick Kroes. 

In a genre that is so often preoccupied with historical reproduction, the CD as a whole is a wonderfully refreshing example of how different streams of folk music can come together and create something new and interesting.
