'Pique' expresses hope, whimsy and desperation in equal measure through 11 snaking, dischordant salvoes of post-hardcore punk, arriving at a meeting point somewhere between Braid, Bear Vs Shark, Faraquet, Cap'n Jazz, At the Drive-In and Cursive but very much with its own personality too. This is first album by the Uxbridge 5-piece, following on from two well-received 7" records and a CDEP. 'Pique' was recorded at Keynote Studios in Reading, Berkshire, by Umair Chaudhry (who's previously engineered for Popular Workshop, Xmaslights) in May 2009, and mastered by Tim Turan in Oxford.
