Album Notes

Alana writes her songs from a wealth of life experience that ranges from teenage homelessness and raising her five children as a single mother, to more common inspirations like falling in and out of love.

After years of mothering, working, and surviving as an artist, Alana started her own label, Embraced In Grace. Instead of trying fit into the music industry mold, she decided to create a business structure in which she could have a successful career as an artist. She’s hoping to create a successful record label with a reputation for social responsibility, fairness with artists and family atmosphere, focussing on putting out music with a conscious message.

Alana is enjoying fulfilling her life dream of having a complete album with producer Larry Mitchell. Larry Mitchell is a highly regarded and distinctive musician/guitarist, engineer and producer currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since 1986 Larry has been an award winning guitarist. He’s been the touring guitarist with The Robert Mirabal Band, Tracy Chapman, Billy Squier, and Ric Ocasek.

He has won numerous awards as a producer and engineer from New Mexico Music Awards. In 2008, he won a Grammy for Johnny Whitehorse Totemic Flute Chants for best Native American Music Album.

Look for these singles to be released and available by December 2009.
