Some albums lose steam halfway through but this album gathered speed along the way showing off a broad range of talent and diversity from 14 gifted singer/songwriters from Alaska. The listener is transported on a journey from the wild Alaskan frontier with Melissa Mitchell's "Fly Away" to the mysterious ocean depths of Crystal Hutchens' "Surround Sound" and the rich, spiritual vocals of Monical Lettner's "Keys to the Kingdom" which all hint at the deep faith these women have that winter never fails to turn to spring in the Land of Dreams and that the power of music can heal and bring peace.  There's even a special spoken-word piece "Icarus" by the poetry goddess, Corrinna Delgado, and the album finishes aptly with the mysterious and lovely "Shanti, Om Shiva" by the talented gypsy artic rose, Shawn Zuke, who has nurtured a vision for this album for many years.
