ORDER ONE OF THESE CD'S NOW AND GET THE OTHER ONE FOR FREE! This CD is actually one phase of a double CD project. Over the past several years, I wrote and recorded too much material to fit onto one CD, and the nature of the material seemed to fit into two, distinct categories. This one is more modern/traditional jazz, and is mostly instrumental. This is an inspired piece of work that gets better and better with each listen. It's unlike anything you've heard before, and yet strangely familiar. The composer is combining life-long influences that run the gamut from early 50's jazz to 60's jazz-rock to 70's jazz-fusion and 80's smooth jazz. It's very accessible music, and appeals to all levels of jazz enthusiasts! The companion CD, “Welcome To The Future”, is more cross-genre...rock, blues, funk and soul, featuring vocals. There are lots of special guests on both albums like Stephaniesid, Jonathan Scales, Peggy Ratusz, Frank Southecorvo, Matthew Richmond and Bill Gerhardt. These are all seasoned musicians working in the Asheville area.
