Basically a Best of Alix collection, this 70-minute summer 1992 release documents Alix's life in songwriting -- and the landmarks of her life which inspired those songs. It's well balanced, with 20 songs spanning 1962-1992: six generic love songs, six specific love songs, six political analysis songs, and two 'inspirational,' one generic and one specific. In addition to some of everyone's favorites, she includes a brand-new recording of the previously unreleased, very controversial My Lesbian Wars... plus a 1970 pre-lesbian recording of Shinin' Thru' (which gives great perspective on her journey -- one that parallels that of many lesbian-feminists).
