We all have a story to tell. Despite arriving in this place and time from many different paths, we are all shaped by certain emotions and milestones, and recall poignant memories that tie us together. One of the most effective ways we have to tell these common stories is through music. Hopefully, you will find a connection with these beautiful songs, which span many decades and cross between musical genres. They tell stories of giddy anticipation, joy, love, melancholy and , finally, reflect upon a life fully lived.
With this recording, Angela Keeton is making her crossover debut with the help of established jazz musicians, Chris Lomheim and Graydon Peterson. Angela received both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Indiana University. She has performed with the Minnesota Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Lake George Opera and numerous regional orchestras, symphonies and choral societies. After 10 years of performing opera, classical and concert repertoire in the United States and Germany, she is rediscovering the music which sparked her love of performing. Angela resides in Minneapolis and is currently the Teaching Artist for the Minnesota Opera, where she works with school children and aspiring young performers.
