The song was written by Angelo Rose on March 21, 2010 after seeing a special on "the Lost Children of Haiti." Within days, Angelo was in the studio, along with the Nazareth Academy Children's Choir, working on "Under the Mango Tree." The song was initially recorded at Black Dog Studios in Rochester, New York and mixed in Nashville by Grammy Award winner, Neal Cappellino. The horrific conditions in Haiti pushed all those involved with this project to the limits, including artist, Steve Smock, who produced the mesmerizing cover art.
