From Perth, Western Australia, 'Animal' was formed in mid-2011, featuring seasoned members of the local music scene. Animal drools and barks with a 'balls to the wall' hard rock sound, built on a blues foundation with alternative edge. The band brings a wrecking ball of unpretentious, hard-hitting and infectious tunes, and a high-energy engaging live performance to keep audiences singing along and rocking out.
Animal made its entrance to the Perth local music scene with a bang, waking up its sleepy hometown by a spectacle live performance on the back of a 9-tonne truck through the Perth city streets in October 2011. The band has established a formidable live show, and has received much local and international praise following the September 2012 release of the debut album "Plenty of Supplies". The band has also received praise and support off the back of the debut album from prominent US musician and producer Eric Kretz (Stone Temple Pilots), having invited the band to record their sophomore release at his home-based studio based in Los Angeles, California, confirmed for October 2013.
Animal peaked in 2012 with 3 songs in the top 100 Triple J Unearthed music charts, with its hit song “Blues Master” peaking at #20 on the Rock charts. The band also peaked at #15 on the ReverbNation local Rock charts in November 2011.
Animal is slowly but surely unleashing its brunt on the music scene, be sure to come along for the ride...let's race!! \m/ \m/
