Apryl Evans' unique sexy and soulful Pop/R&B sounds are apparent in this three-song collection. Many would describe Apryl’s signature sound as striking and soulful modern Pop/R&B with a hint of an 80’s retro throwback to the early careers of Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. Despite a few similarities to relevant artists, Apryl has a voice and sound that truly stand out as being exceptionally distinctive.

Apryl has received numerous accolades for the songs on this EP and was recently recognized by The Moody Blues’ Mike Pinder as a Semi-Finalist in his semi-annual Songwars competition. When asked what made Ms. Evans stand out in a crowd of many other singer/songwriters, Pinder simply stated, “Inspired and heartfelt vocal performances.” Music industry veteran Dale Kawashima also recently paid tribute to Apryl’s vocal prowess for the song "I Shouldn't", naming Apryl as one of the winners in his monthly talent search for the best vocalists in the world.

In December of 2009, "I Shouldn't" received a nomination for R&B Single of the Year for USA4Real’s Annual Music Awards, in which she seized the popular vote.

When asked what the inspiration behind the EP was, Apryl stated "There was so much inspiration behind this project from personal triumphs to utter heartbreak and everything in between. This EP has been many years in the making and I had written so many songs during that time, but this is a collection of some of the songs that best define who I am as an artist. It shows my many sides, both weak and strong. Although I do think of myself as a strong woman, as you can hear in most of the album, I do have my weak moments, which songs like “I Shouldn’t” really illustrate. That’s what’s really cool though because we all have a large range of emotion, and I think this EP is a testament to that."
