My journey of faith truly began my senior year of high school. I was invited to the local United Pentecostal Church by a good friend, and I remember never having felt such a tremendous amount of love and mercy from who I now know is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I honestly cannot imagine what or where I would be if He had not intervened in my life. I owe Him everything, and it is in Him that I place my complete love, trust, and faith.
I began singing before I began talking, as my dad likes to put it. I guess you could say I officially began singing in a variety of choral groups. I continued singing in high school where I participated in the chorus groups and currently am enjoying singing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As fun as choral music has been to me, I still enjoy getting in church and singing a variety of music including gospel, contemporary, and praise & worship.
In August, 2009, I was so blessed to have been a part of the Pentecostal Music Association's North American Talent Search. After the audition process, I was selected as a female finalist and was invited to perform in front of a multi-thousand person crowd at the Sommet Center (now Bridgestone Arena) in Nashville, TN! I was honored to take home first place and was blessed with the opportunity to produce this album.
