Album Notes

Aubrey’s debut release of her Chance to See EP on September 26 brings nervous excitement. “You want everyone to like your music and find a message in it, just for them.” The first three songs to be released include:
1. Beauty of the World
2. As Days Go By
3. Chance to See
Months of discussion and debate went into the selection of these songs from my current repertoire. As a new artist, do you want to show great diversity or concentrated style? Aubrey is often compared to Carol King and Vanessa Carlon, her faster songs to Avril Lavigne. But the compromise for her debut came with the inclusion of As Days Go By with a slight jazz feel. Bobby Russell is a jazz guitarist so it comes off nice and smooth, later I brought in the nylon string for the mellow sound you hear in Beauty of the World. Danny Pera, bass guitar, creates a bass line so dramatic that Chance to See could be a bass solo.
Karen Kane lists me as a co-producer but in reality I am just possessive and retentive regarding artist privilege. Karen is a pro like no other and I love her. Her personal studio, The North Bend Room, staff and Audio Genesis produce a beautiful product.
I wrote the words and music to all of the songs included on the Chance to See EP. I am also the lead singer. But like all projects, many people were needed to bring the EP together. Trish Arthur does a phenomenal job on harmony vocals. Troy Pierce gives the foundation with drums while Danny Pera plays bass, Bobby Russell guitar and Don White piano. Everyone made me feel talented and knowledgeable. And I can't forget Mish, Timmy and Adam. I will never be able to send enough cookies.
