Album Notes

Founded by bi-coastal musicians Rachel Rossos and Michael Gallant, Aurical is the sort of indie rock band your grandmother would love: honest, polite, well-groomed, and capable of telling a damn good story.

Some Aurical stories scream with overdrive. Others undulate and throb with pulsating rhythm section grooves. Often, they simply whisper within open-hearted melodies, amplified by minimalist arrangements of piano and guitar. Aurical pulls from influences ranging from grunge, modal jazz, and Motown to folk, soul, and French art songs. The band recorded their debut album, Something to Say, in Berkeley and San Francisco, California.
