AWARD-WINNING PIANIST BARRY D. RELEASES THIRD INSTRUMENTAL ALBUM TITLED THE PIANO PLAYER ON OCTOBER 13TH

New York, NY – (October 6, 2009) – Celebrated pianist, BARRY D., is pleased to announce the release date of his new instrumental album THE PIANO PLAYER, scheduled to be available October 13, 2009. Produced by Barry himself, The Piano Player is a brilliantly inspired follow-up to his two previous highly acclaimed albums, HANDPRINT and BORN TO PLAY.

The Piano Player breaks down all barriers of genre-specific instrumental music infusing elements of Gospel, Jazz, Classical, and Pop to create one harmoniously unique sound. Barry’s spiritual purpose in his music has always been to encourage the world to celebrate their creator, and he accomplishes this in his third album by creating a sound that really speaks to the heart and displays truly God-given talent. The project released by Taqa Records USA will be distributed by Central South Distribution and New Day Christian Distributors.

Barry D. is a two-time Dove Nominated artist and Stellar Nominated Artist for “Instrumental Gospel CD of the Year” for Born to Play, his most recent project. His first album Handprint was nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year at the 36th Annual GMA Awards and since then Barry has performed at Carnegie Hall, The 40th Annual Dove Awards, Focus On Family, American Bible Society, and at a WMCA rally with Pastor Paul Sheppard. He has shared the stage with noted performers including Phil Collins, Natalie Grant, Nicole C. Mullen, Jaci Velasquez and many more. With such tremendous accomplishments, Barry became a World Vision Artist Associate this year joining the ranks of CeCe Winans, Isreal Houghton, Third Day, and Matthew West.
