The Bastion Jazz Band, a group of like minded, unamplified musicians, perform traditional New Orleans jazz, every Sunday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 pm, at the Blethering Place Tea Room in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Lyrical, bluesy and unhurried, the B. J. B. treats fans and diners alike to an evening of music rarely heard outside of the Cresent City. Featuring compositions of Morten, Handy, Bechet and Armstrong, playing blues, stomps, songs and spirituals the B. J. B. carries on a tradition that's been alive for over one hundred years. Pop this CD in your stereo, at dinner or anytime, have a cup of tea or a pint, and enjoy. Or better yet, if you're in the neighbourhood, drop into the Blethering Place and hear the band live.
