BEYOND BLONDE - FAMOUS LAST WORDS - is an interpretation of performance time from 2003 - 2010 giggin' as an original/cover band kicking out original fun, jams with southern/classic/blues rock influences with a twist of funk. 2011 takes Beyond Blonde in a new direction. Back to the orginals acoustic rock style. Check out the new CD - Lisa Markovich & Beyond Blonde 'Showing My Roots'.
We were unique as an original/cover band and even better now! Known for our energetic and eye-catching show - in the words of noted vocal coach Liz Lewis (director of the Singers' Work Shop) - "there's so much going on up there, I had a hard time deciding who to focus on . . . your performance was riveting!"
The past...
This band is most often described as Heart meets Lynyrd Skynyrd. Formed in 2002 and consisting of three sexy women and one smoking male lead guitar player, Beyond Blonde has been chocking up one accolade after another (see below). Unlike the angst-driven sounds of punk, grunge, or modern hard rock, Beyond Blonde's music is positive, straight-ahead, soul-driven rock-n-roll that'll make you dance & smile. Moreover, since the singer sounds like Cher, Melissa Etheridge, and Sass Jordan, while packing the vocal power of Janis Joplin, and the music influences range from Aerosmith, Marshall Tucker, Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Van Halen, Buddy Guy, AC/DC, and the Rolling Stones to Led Zeppelin, its audience consists of people from 6 to 60! If you like any of these artists, or Bonnie Raitt, you'll like Beyond Blonde
