Album Notes

I started writing songs several years ago. It wasn't until a producer in O'Fallon, Missouri listened to me sing and play that I decided to actually record. He was a friend of my friend Bob Barth. (drumbob) Drumbob had me play a couple of songs into his cell phone with Bob Berzack (guitarbob) on the other end. Bob Berzack was a producer that drumbob had worked with in the past. Gitbob immediately said that we should all get together to discuss the possibilities of doing a project. It was many months later for "Save Me" to be completed.
Since the spring release of the album I have had a wonderful response from the sales of the cd and the shows that my band, The Billy Berry Band, has played. I have received many letters, and emails from folks in Kentucky, telling how much they have enjoyed my music. Some talk about how it made them cry. Most talk about how it was so easy for them to relate to. I have many start laughing when they first mention "Kiss My Ash". You can't help but smile when thinking about that song. It was a chance of a lifetime experience to get to record an album. Writing songs is a funny thing. I never know where the next song is going to come from. I never know if it's going to be funny, sad, or just out there. The songs literally just fall out of the sky.

A trip back to childhood

It's been a long time since I've heard an artist whose music has taken me back to the wonderful memories of childhood, sitting on the porch with my family, listening to The Great Ones-most of whom have long since past. A sincere thank you to Billy for making a CD that honors the tradition of country music at it's finest. This music truly resonates. I hope to hear more from this very talented and authentic musician in the near future. Many thanks for allowing me to revisit some of my happiest days with your tremendous gift!

I had almost given up on country music, then I heard Billy Berry! He is, I believe above all else, a song writing such that we have not seen since greats such as John Denver. His music and lyics touch somerwhere deep inside as if you had been there with him writing the songs. Farm With Me Son has lyics that make you feel it all the way to your soul. His music touches me in places and deeper than I ever knew possible. Billy Berry is a superstar waiting to be discovered.

Billy: Great songs. I'd love to play some of these (just no covers allowed) on my syndicated show "Country Legends In The Making" that reaches 400 am/fm stations around the world. You can take a look at my radio site at http://www.tspcountryradio.com and even listen to the recorded version of the show there if you like. Get back to me at ddsj84@yahoo.com if you want the airplay. Dixie McCorkell CMA/CCMA/ECMA Triplestrand Productions http://www.triplestrandproductions.com http://www.tspcountryradio.com
