"Polaris" is a track that was recorded a year after Blacktask released their first LP, "Long After Midnight" (Axe Killer Records - 1986). After touring to promote the Long After Midnight LP, the band hit the studio and recorded five new tracks for their 2nd LP. The 2nd LP was never completed because the band broke up. Fans have never heard this track before. This hard rock track is a slight departure from the power metal found on Long After Midnight, and a hugh departure from the thrash metal found on the band's "Blacktask" EP (Damnation Records - 1985). However, fans will still find Blacktask's trademark heavy guitar work throughout this cool track.
