Booger Holler String Band recorded this album live . . . with all 6 musicians sitting in a circle around the microphones, playing the tunes from beginning to end. NO overdubbing . . . the same way we play for dances, concerts, contests, or just for ourselves. The tunes are not perfect . . . they are not supposed to be. They are what live music sounds like. We draw on the traditions of many old-time fiddlers for our authentic sound. This is the music you might hear while walking through the campground at a festival at night. We've been playing and performing together for many years, but never had time to devote to putting an album together. . . until now. We think it came out pretty good, and hope you like it, too.
