Album Notes

I have a great love for the songs found in the LDS Primary songbook. The messages are sweet and simple, and the melodies are often unforgettable. However, as adults I think we often overlook the value of this wonderful music.

Many of the songs on this album have been arranged in a style that reflects the original arrangement, while several have been arranged to reflect personal feelings and interpretations. "Psalm of Moroni" is an arrangement of "Book of Mormon Stories" through the eyes of the man who had the unique perspective of seeing not only the rise and fall of his people over hundreds of years, but also saw our time and was given the task of preserving the sacred record for our day. "Missionary Medley" follows my emotions as I contemplate the day I will send my two young boys on missions. "Homecoming", while normally sung by energetic Primary children on Father's Day, is my quiet dedication to my Dad who I lost 5 years ago and who I cannot wait to see again.

My hope is that through this album, adults and children alike can find peace, comfort and happiness in these familiar (and perhaps some not so familiar) songs.
