Album Notes

This is the 4th album from Brian Lillie, following GOOD LUCK FIRE CHIEF from several years ago. This collection began as a bunch of voice and guitar recordings made in an undisclosed bunker somewhere in the snowy midwest, which were then brought to local recording genius and studo owner Jim Roll, where the skeletons were filled out by many talented local musicians, including Mr. Roll, local guitar monster Alex Anest (of Delta 88 and Giraffe), Greg McIntosh and Jamie Monger (of Great Lakes Myth Society), Jim Latini, and tons of other friends. Al DiBlassio, Brian DiBlassio, Rich Griffth, and Joslyn Layne, all members of the semi-retired Squirrel Mountain Orchestra, also appear, thank goodness.

This album took a long time to put together, with the only goal being to make something that was an evocative mix of all the kinds of sounds and styles that Mr. Lillie and Mr. Roll most appreciate. Therefore, it's your basic roots-folk-rock-alternative-pop-electro-orchestrated-minimalist-baroque sort of record, which could not have been made without the help of all of the awesome musician friends who contributed their wiles...
