I caught a live show by Brother Sal, just him and his piano, and my entire group was enthralled by his carefree "swing from the hip" music style. Whorehouse gospel/rock I think he calls it. This album captures the essence of his versatility in a wide range of song choices that stretch from ballads to boogie-woogie. With Sal's soulful voice and the way he hits those 88s you won't be disappointed with this cd or mp3 purchase. I even bought extras to give away as presents.
