Album Notes

“CROSSBONES” is made up of some of Ireland’s brightest young talents on the Irish music scene. Boasting the unique line up of tenor trombone & bass trombone, “CROSSBONES” offer a fresh perspective on jazz music. All of the compositions on the album were composed by the members of the group, as well as two pieces composed especially for the group by top Irish composer Brian Byrne & Bruno Heinen, a leading jazz musician on the UK scene.

“CROSSBONES” members are Eoghan Kelly (tenor trombone), Paul Frost (bass trombone), Phill Collins (piano/rhodes), Deirdre Frost (bass) and Stephen Kelly (drums). All the members of the group are equally adept at performing with jazz musicians such as Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Syd Lawrence Orchestra & Michael Buckley, as well as performing with the RTE Symphony & Concert Orchestra, session work with artists such as Sharon Shannon, Declan O Rourke & Ute Lemper and many, many more.
