Album Notes

'Pure Things in Wild Places' is the first independent album released 2007 on the artist's own label OfOne Music, following on from her first major label release 'Departure' in 2003. The artist was inspired to develop her own label as a means to create freely without constraint. Recorded in a garage in Bronte, a bedroom in Bondi and Big Jesus Burger Studios in Sydney with Chris Townend, Australia, with the exception of 'June' which was recorded at Cat Farm Studios in LA with Josh Grange. The album is a collection of often folk-oriented songs, but with the inclusion of strings, haunting melodies and gravelly guitars, exposing Werner's passion for folk/rock roots. 'Pure Things' captures all of Werner's abilities as a songwriter, unfolding the mystery as to where she might be taking us on the follow up album due for release in 2011.
