Album Notes

Chad Tetford is a songwriter/singer from Mira, Nova Scotia. He has been singing and writing for as long as he remembers. Years ago while living in Cape Breton he and a group of friends started playing bars and this was the start of it all for Chad. Growing up he got to witness first hand the talent of Cape Breton artists. Local boys like Gordie Sampson, Bruce Guthro, Green Eggs and Jam, Real World, and Natalie MacMaster where playing all over the island.

His debut album "Between Us" was recorded by Mike Sheppard at Lakewind Sound Studios. Freddy Lavery produced and many of Chad’s neighbors and friends pitched in and played. Chad’s uncle Bruce and Cousin Shane were instrumental in providing the support he needed to get this project out there. His songs are infused with a little Country, Pop, Rock and
Celtic from his Cape Breton roots.

In a Press release written by Dan MacDonald of the Cape Breton Post, Dan writes, "Tetford's writing reminds him of early James Taylor or even Gordie Sampson and a dozen or so other influences that make the distinctive Tetford sound".

He has been a featured artist on CBC Atlantic airwaves, CBC Mainstreet, Q104 Halifax, CJFX Antigonish, The Hawk, Port Hawksbury, CBC 90.5 FM Halifax, 101.9 Halifax, 89.7 The Coast. His music is played on various radio stations on the East Coast as well as in Canada. His song "California Morning" has been receiving radio play on CBC throughout Canada as well as CM hit number one on the popular internet radio show eastcoastcountdown. He has been performing regularly in Halifax, Cape Breton and around the Maritimes for many years. He performs solo as a duo or trio. Chad’s looking forward to recording another album in the New Year.
