Album Notes

Two new band members help take the entire focus of Chicken Dinner Road to another level. In this newest installment, CDR finds it's identity with crafty originals such as L.B Robertson's "Fog", Dennis Stokes' title track "Off The Beaten Path", and an instrumental penned by Gary Eller called "Chicken Fingers". Then you have Stokes' dark, revenge-filled murder story of "Ballad of Clay" and Norton Buffalo's "High Tide In Wingo" to prove depth and diversity are alive in this album. "Yellow Pine" and "I Know My Baby Loves Me" provide a bit of humor while "At The Codfish Ball" takes you back to Shirley Temple and the early 1900's. CDR caps it off with a live and rowdy version of Rue Frisbee's "Is It Happy Hour Yet?". Don't forget the outtakes.
