Chilo , originally hails from Strong Island New York. He has been writing lyrics his whole life. Primarily a Hip Hop Performer for ten years plus, Chilo has been dabbling with the spoken word genre for the last year or so, and has performed with the Nuyorican poetry
Cafe Theater group as well as featured in many venues in and out of New York City and the Tri state area. He independently produced a twenty track Hip Hop album in 2002 entitled "Experience is Truth", Chilo is part of a Spokenword/HipHop group known as "21Poetz". He also is a member of "El Grito De Poetas", one of the only, if not the only, Latino Spoken Word performing arts group. A licensed History teacher, Chilo provides a wonderful blend of knowledge, passion, emotion and lyricism every time he steps upon the stage. He is currently working on a 21poetz Mix tape, his next solo album, entitled "Never Satisfied", and two compilation albums that he constructed and put together.

Lyricism At Its Best

this cd is fuego....... you get 20 tracks, no intros or interludes or any of that.... and i'd say i was truly feelin like 17/18 of them.... only a couple that i skip over... probably the best deal i've ever got on a cd... my favs are The Journey Pt. II, Experience Is Truth, The Come Up, and Rain..... definitely a must have for anybody who appreciates true lyricism and a different style that what you're used to......... peace

First time i listened to this album, i missed the whole point, i was listening with an ear intune for 2days hip hop. This album is so far beyond 2days market, it is intellectual, emotional, and entertaining. He's got thought provoking punchlines and polotical insightfulness. keep grinding the hits chilo - strong island loves you!
