Album Notes

During the long process of recording this album I recall being on a train in England and listening to the tracks. As i listened I sensed the presence of God in a profound way. I remember just weeping. The best words I can use to describe the experience are comfort and peace. Over the years as we've gotten feedback from people who have listened to the songs during really dark and discouraging times, they have experienced this same thing. People have found themselves literally carried by God through the storms of life as they play the songs over and over again. The album was recorded in England, Belgium and the US using some of the finest musicians in the world. The strings were recorded in Chicago with some of the members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The front cover photo was taken in Durban, South Africa on the beach and the back cover photo I shot in a forest in Belgium. Some albums seem to live on forever. This is one of them.
