ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The aim of this recording was to
create an album that intimately
showcases the jazz guitar as a
solo instrument where, as the listener,
you can close your eyes and imagine
I’m in the room and playing for you.
So sit back with a nice glass of red
and enjoy! (And remember, the more
you drink the better I’ll sound!)

Amazing Jazz Guitar Instrumentals
Guitar virtuoso, Chris Komorowski, and his amazing CD, “As I Hear It,” will brighten your day with brilliant Contemporary Jazz compositions. Komorowski and his guitar work their magic on classic standards and Pop tunes creating an album of superb instrumentals that are dynamic and full of creative style. You’ll be hooked right from the first track, “Let’s Fall In Love,” as this song is vibrant and lively as Komorowski deftly glides his fingers across the fret board. The Beatles classics, “Michelle” and Penny Lane” are truly talented works as each song has its own special melodic tonality with crisp and clean clarity. Another favorite, “There Will Never Be Another You,” will dazzle you with its precise precision and dexterity. So sit back and relax and enjoy the fantastic Jazz guitar styles on the album, “As I Hear It,” as it would be a great addition to your Jazz collection.

Blue Lizzy

On the verge
Chris Komorowski makes one guitar sound like a guitar duo. Bags of technique, amazing versatility and lots of soul . If there's a guitarist who's about to make a big impression on the jazz scene, here he is. His playing reflects an artist who's made a really serious study of the capabilities of the guitar as an unaccompanied jazz instrument and plays a style that few have successfully mastered. Beautifully interpreted standards, whimsical Beatles classics, and romantic ballads all take on on a rich, smooth sound on this album. One guitar does it all. A bonus is the contribution on two numbers by vocalist Catherine Estall, with a clear, understated style and lovely phrasing.

Guitar Greg

The new Joe Pass?
This solo jazz guitar album by Sydney Guitarist Chris Komorowski is a delight to the ears. At a time when so much of today's music is cluttered with extraneous and in most cases pointless noise it is great to hear magnificent standards played in a fresh style where EVERY note belongs where it always should. If you like Jazz guitar, you need this album in your collection. This guy is phenomenal!
