Clap for Daylight's debut release “Break Even” showcases a musical flexibility and unique style that surpasses genre classification. Each track demonstrates a knack for catchy melodies, fresh lyrics and layers deftly textured arrangements on top of the band's 4-member core. Thanks to its diverse set of influences, "Break Even" showcases driving and engaging rock ("Face Today", "The Good and Evil Inside"), quieter moments of self-reflection ("The Art of Giving In", "Alaska"), and masterful sound textures ("Love Gone"). Produced by Brad Jones (Jump, Little Children, Josh Rouse), all eleven songs are skillfully woven together to create a complex, introspective and original album.
