Here We Are
Waco, Texas to Columbia, Missouri is roughly 700 miles from the other. It also happens to be where the musicians on “Here We Are” live. Over the last year there has been a tidal wave of music, energy and communication flowing in the space between these two cities. “Here We Are” is the relationship both with each other and music; a unique collaboration between two musicians who have never met.
The songs on this record were developed in separate locations, but united as a complete thought through elements seen and heard; some not. Tying together the other’s musical thought transcended the space between us. The process brought electric moments where you could swear the other was in the room watching, listening, contributing. Here we are; wherever you are listening to these songs, brace yourself for this timeless tide….

Thank You's:
Chris would like to thank Alison for being the love of my life, best friend and for putting up with all the hours spent in the backroom recording this record! Gertie, for sitting close by my feet while many of these songs were being created/recorded. Matt, for your friendship, guidance & support and most importantly, for following up on my email last summer. Laurel, for her industry wisdom and killer vocals. Sam, for making every phone call to Matt an interesting one. Mom, for encouraging me to follow my passion, Dad for playing records when I was little, and Jeni for teaching me the drums and jamming with me when i hadn't a clue. Grandparents Lee for filling the house with 'culture' as a kid and making music important. Grandpa Clem, for showing me how to sing and play guitar all at once. Uncle Mitch, for your early interest and kind words. There are so many others that in some way helped inspire, create and motivate my part in this record. Though you may not have been aware of it at the time, I do sincerely thank all of you for this.
Matt would like to thank: Laurel for her constant love, support and encouragement & for making me the luckiest man on earth.
