Album Notes

Bob Cooney and Glenn Eliot are Cooney & Eliot. The two singer/songwriters hooked up in the mid 70's where they played concerts and clubs throughout the Pennsylvania and Maryland area.

They frequently appeared as an acoustic duo, but also performed as a 4 piece rock group. Their style spanned country finger-picking blues, heartfelt ballads and humorous social commentary.

One reason they gained a large loyal following was their original tunes. Their songs set them apart from the many cover groups performing at that time. They opened shows for the Outlaws at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Mary Travers of Peter, Paul and Mary, and Asleep at the Wheel. They recorded an album of original material, entitled, "Champagne Shampoo", which received great press coverage and local airplay.

Bob and Glenn went their separate ways in the early 80's. Glenn continued to make his living as a traveling musician for the next 10 years. He released 3 EP recordings before establishing himself as a successful guitar instructor and studio musician. Bob semi-retired from the music business for about 10 years and returned in the mid 90's as a solo acoustic artist. He released the CD, "Bones" in 1997 and continued performing until the recent reunion of Cooney & Eliot in 2007.

The two have just released a new CD in December 2009 entitled "In the Pink. It is a 16 song collection of original tunes which displays their well crafted songwriting filled with lush harmonies and seasoned guitar work.
The album spans many styles from sensitive ballads, to rock solid smokin' blues.
