Album Notes

We tend to think of roads as the way to get from where we are to where we're going, but a road can also tell you a great deal about where you're coming from. The three members of Craicdown–Rob Sharer, David DiGiuseppe, and Jim Roberts–have each traveled down different paths to get to where they are today; the result is a melange of styles and influences that join together to take the listener on an unforgettable journey into territory that is as at once familiar and excitingly fresh. Their musical DNA makes the band's spot-on fusion of Celtic, Americana, Brazilian, Indian and Rock hard to pigeonhole yet quite accessible. The diversity of these three musicians' individual experiences contributes to the richness found in the music of Craicdown, drawing from many different wellsprings of tradition found all over the world. The result is a refreshing newness to the original compositions and songs they play that comes straight from the crucible of creativity that is Craicdown.
