From Envy Magazine Review 11/30/2009, by critic Jack Frink:
"This atmospheric, unabashedly beautiful album introduces the complementary talents of guitarist/composer Scott Spencer and singer/lyricist Ko. The two have the type of compositional dexterity of hardened session men, and they achieve a naturalness together that makes their best songs sound as if they’ve existed forever.
The album is characterized by deftly waltzing quasi-ballads where Ko’s sophisticated alto vocals swim inside Spencer’s luxurious arrangements. Spencer has an alternating rhythm/lead style that takes its cues from The Edge’s spiky, echoing lead lines and Johnny Marr’s layered, rippling rhythm work."
