This album melds the recurrent themes of distrust for the notions of the masses with the simpler, more intimate notions of the desires of the self. From the Bobby Darin like opening number, "Bobby", through the final tune, "On The Wire", these songs capture images of characters who sometimes fail themselves, occasionally find themselves, and imperceptibly encounter the unease in dealing with loss.
