Album Notes

The single/album titled Independent Girl is about a woman who, over time, has had enough of the abuse inflicted upon her by her man.

One early morning, the woman decided that she has taken all the abuse that she could take and it was time for her to make that get away to a new world, so to speak. The woman got up in the early dawn and exited the door with nothing more than what she had on her back. She did not care for any materialistic things that were in their possession all she wanted was a new beginning.

When the man awoke the next day, he found that his woman was not in the house as he had ordered. He waited around the house for sometime before making a few calls to friends and family members.
He took his search to the road the very next day looking everywhere his mind can conceive but he still was unable to find her. He called up Lost & Found hoping that they may have some good news for him but yet again, he was out of luck.

The man never believed that the day was going to come when his woman would have the courage to walk away from him. It was noted that the man was acting like he was going crazy as he was seen talking to himself. Some of what he said was documented after he was taken in for a full mental examination. Some of his words were, “Girl, I know for sure that you are not sleeping around the town and flirting everyone in the way that I would do because you are independent. I now understand that a king is a man so I should treat my woman well and respect you like the Queen you are because you are independent.”

He was not found to be crazy so they let him go. They believed it to be a case of LNR (Love Not Released) so he was sent to Dr. Phil to try and get some help.

It was reported some years later that his woman became one of the top lawyers in the country after giving birth to his son. She is an Independent Girl.
