Brilliant! My Favorite!
It is a shame I can only give this 5 stars! The Dean Brothers are simply my favorite band. They represent everything that was good from my childhood and will always be Skaneateles' favorite band! I was so thrilled to finally find this online to download! I instantly sang all songs even though I hadn't heard some of them in over twenty years. All 12 songs are great but I will always love "Dixie"! The Dean Brothers should play the skating rink every summer for us ol' timers! Thank you for having these songs on here, you made my day, no, rather my year!

The Dean Brotherz were another piece of the great Upstate/Ithaca music scene in the 70s. There live shows were outstanding featuring catchy harmonies, great melodies, and a clean simplicity that just brightened up and space they played. It was just a great time and we didn't know how lucky we were to have the likes of bands like the Dean Brothers, Zobo Fun Band, Todd Hobin, etc. working the clubs and colleges. I had heard the Dean Brothers a couple of times and I remember dragging my wife to be to a show at a club called the OP near SUNY Binghamton to hear them....the most amazing part ....and I hope I remember this right, I think they were joined by David Torn on Guitar and pedal steel!
